Stephanie Fine, M.D. received her B.A. from Wellesley College in Wellesley,
Massachusetts. She attended medical school at the University of New Mexico School
of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico and completed her Surgical Internship and
Residency at the University of Utah Medical Center.
• Board certified in General Surgery with focus on laparoscopy services and
breast disorders.

Douglas Slawson, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1971.
Following his medical degree, he completed a Surgical Internship and a Residency in General
Surgery with University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Slawson is a surgeon with a distinguished
record across the state, and has served as Medical Director for companies such as Utah Power
and Magnesium Corporation of America.

Robert B. McFaul, D.O. received his medical degree from the North Texas State University of
Fort Worth Texas in 1981. He then completed an internship in 1982 at Doctors Hospital of
Columbus, Ohio, and then continued on with a surgical residency. He then served as Chief
Resident of the Doctors Hospital in 1986. In 1987, he completed a fellowship in Vascular
Surgery.
• Board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery.

Alfonso Preciado, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his medical degree from the University of Panama in 1989. After fulfilling his internship and social service in Panama, Dr. Preciado continued his training in General Surgery at The Western Pennsylvania hospital in Pittsburgh from 1992 to 1998. he served as Chief Resident at Western Pennsylvania hospital from 1997 to 1998, and then went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy at Baylor College of Medicine in houston, from 1998 to 1999.
• Board certified in General Surgery with focus on laparoscopic procedures.

Jane M. Porretta, M.D. received her medical degree in 1989 from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She then moved to Salt Lake City where she completed an internship in General Surgery at the University of Utah in 1990. Following her internship, she stayed on at the University of Utah and completed a residency in General Surgery in 1994. In her final year she served as Chief Resident.
• Board certified in General Surgery with emphasis on breast disease and laparoscopic procedures.
